The Bishop Amateur Radio Club
The Bishop Amateur Radio Club welcome's you to the world of Ham Radio. We are located in California's Eastern Sierra Mountains. Our repeater (146.940- with a 103.5 pl) is located in the White Mountains at an elevation of over 10,000 feet. The hobby of Amateur Radio can be as simple as talking on VHF or UHF on a local repeater or talking to someone across the country on a High Frequency Transceiver. Amateur Radio is used in Search and Rescue, Disasters and much more. From Morse Code, voice, slow scan TV and computer networking through radio waves there is something for everyone. Getting started in Amateur Radio is easy and BARC would be happy to help you get started. Please feel free to contact us or attend one of our meetings for more information.
